The Hathi Seller Portal app is critical to export goods from a foreign location to a local marketplace (e.g., US). This guide covers the steps required to view, create and manage you exports successfully so you can sell your goods quickly, effortlessly, in different marketplaces worldwide! Exporting usually consists of shipments and boxes.
This section describes basic export terms for new merchants: Shipment, Box.
A shipment is the single, unique event of moving your merchandise outside of your own country borders. A shipment event will have a unique Shipment ID. Your Store may have multiple Shipment events happening at the same time, or just 1. It is up to you! However, it is recommended you manage 1 shipment at a time. It is cheaper and efficient. You can then adapt as you grow. All shipments, once executed with at least 1 Box , then become unique, separate rows in the Export Tab. You may click on the unique Shipment ID at any time to get details of what’s coming, or refer back to old historical shipments as well.
A box is the smallest physical component you can export. A Box contains your SKUs as determined by you. Every shipment must contain at least one Box. We recommend adding a label to the box so we can identify accurately when shipments are received in our warehouse.
Based on the products and the quantities included in the shipment’s estimated weight & dimensions , Hathi calculates Gross Weight and Volume Weight of the shipment. The larger of Gross Weight and Volume Weight will be considered as the Chargeable Weight of the shipment.
The export tab is where you see export shipments, past and present, check in on the status of open exports, as well as create new export shipments. To find the Export Tab
Click the CREATE SHIPMENT large Button on the top right of the screen.
